Hollywood’s Jazz and Blues siren was born and raised in Kansas City in old haunted houses her parents restored. Heavily inspired by the early American songbook, Brenna started created a series of residencies around Hollywood that eventually attracted fans like Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, Tom Jones, Gladys Knight, John Mayer and Michael Bublé. Her weekly performances eventually landed her a recording contract with Verve/Universal Records. This past year, Brenna toured with her “Little Big Band” all around Germany, France, Italy and Tokyo to promote her self-titled debut album featuring the songs “Love Back” and “You Don’t Own Me.” The album was produced by legendary Record Producer David Foster.
In 2016, Ms. Whitaker was special guest on award-winning singer Andrea Bocelli’s world tour, guest singer on RuPaul’s Drag Race and will return to perform for Larry Ellison (tech mogul and philanthropist) on his island of Lanai for their Holiday Festivities (yes, this is a real thing). Brenna performs monthly at Herb Alpert’s Vibrato Jazz Club in Bel Aire with her band of gifted respectable gentlemen.
She has two black Labs, Pearl Bailey and Louie Armstrong, a Shih Tzu named Bob and is obsessed with mini pigs.
She is currently working on her second album, and is passionate about inspiring children to be creative and use the arts as an outlet.
