JEFFREY SCOTT PARSONS in “(more) COMFY”
Thursday, May 9, 2019 8pm
Jeffrey Scott Parsons returns to Martinis Above Fourth | Table and Stage for a pre-Mother’s Day show Thursday, May 9 at 8pm. Part cabaret, part autobiography, (more) COMFY humorously explores how the most uncomfortable aspects of our lives can often lead to our most profound epiphanies. And if you’re not interested in that, there’s a lot tap dancing. Jeffrey Scott Parsons brings an updated version of his award winning one man show back to Martinis Above Fourth with musical director Elan McMahan after performing the show all over California and yes, Utah.
Parsons has made a name for himself as a true triple threat. Regionally, he has been seen as Billy Lawlor in 42nd Street (Cabrillo Music Theatre, Moonlight Amphitheatre), Phil Davis in White Christmas (San Diego Musical Theatre, Musical Theatre West), Dick in Dames at Sea (Colony Theatre, North Coast Rep), and in productions of West Side Story, Cats, and I Only Have Eyes for You. For his performance as the Emcee in Cabaret at the Welk Resort San Diego, Parsons was nominated by the SD Critics Circle for the Craig Noel Award for Outstanding Lead Performance in a Musical. Also at the Welk, he recently starred as Molina in Kiss of the Spider Woman (Robby Award Nomination for Best Actor in a Musical).

He has appeared in numerous productions and tours across the country of both Forever Plaid and Plaid Tidings. Parsons is a member of Musical Theatre Guild where he oversees the educational outreach that brings hundreds of students to the theatre free of charge every year. Raving about Parsons’ recent LA debut performance of Comfy, Don Grigware at BroadwayWorld.com said, “Parsons is so sincere and so sweet and lovable that his time onstage is totally mesmerizing. Don’t miss him wherever he appears!”
