Natalie Douglas, residency artist at Birdland Jazz Club in NYC, and with SRO shows across the US & beyond, 11-time MAC Award-winning vocalist, returns to her new favorite San Diego perch – Martinis Above Fourth | Table + Stage on Thursday, March 5 with her hit show, The First Time…the Music of Roberta Flack. Natalie and music director Brian Nash (Ana Gasteyer, Deborah Cox, Andy Bell, & Countess Luann de Lesseps) will salute the luminous singer, songwriter, and pianist Roberta Flack with a selection of songs from throughout her legendary career, Killing Me Softly, Feel Like Making Love, Compared to What, The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, and more.

Smith Award Winner whose portrait hangs on the legendary Birdland Jazz Club Wall of Fame. Her latest SRO residency at Birdland – now in its 10th smash month – celebrates legendary artists, including Ella Fitzgerald, Sammy Davis, Jr., Dame Shirley Bassey, Linda Ronstadt, Nina Simone, Elvis Presley & Cher. This series earned her two recent MAC Awards – 2018 Major Artist & 2018 Show of The Year. She has spent the last few years bringing her concerts, workshops & master classes to audiences across the USA, Europe, South America & the Caribbean and is a Master Teacher in conjunction with the Mabel Mercer Foundation.
