Sandy Campbell is thrilled to return to Martinis Above Fourth | Table + Stage with her new show Living to Sing the Tale. Along with her long time musical director, collaborator and accompanist G. Scott Lacy and Diana Elledge on cello, Sandy will bring an evening of story songs from the musical theatre featuring songs by Stephen Sondheim, Jason Robert Brown, Stephen Schwartz and others. Sandy Campbell is an award winning San Diego based singer, actor recording and cabaret artist. She has performed in a wide range of productions and venues including the San Diego Repertory Theatre, Cygnet Theatre, Lamb’s Player’s Theatre , Moonlight Stage Productions and the world renowned La Jolla Playhouse. Her cabaret shows have been enjoyed in venues in San Diego and San Francisco. Her debut solo CD Crazy World has received praise from listeners and critics alike.


Diana is honored to be back for a second cabaret evening with Sandy and Scott! An active freelance cellist, she especially loves musical theatre work and playing in classical chamber ensembles. She was most recently seen at Lamb’s Players Theatre in their production of “Babette’s Feast” and “The Last Five Years” at Cygnet Theatre. Diana is also the orchestra music editor at Kjos Music Company, an educational music publisher, a full time position held since 1983. Not only is Diana immersed in the world of music, she is an award-winning professional photographer specializing in pet photography.


G. Scott Lacy is an award winning musical director. He has musical directed over 165 productions working with such theatre companies as the Tony Award Winning La Jolla Playhouse, the award winning Lamb’s Players Theatre, the Musical Theatre Guild of Los Angeles, Diversionary Theatre, New Conservatory Theatre, Diablo Theatre Company, 42nd Street Moon, San Diego Repertory Theatre, San Diego Opera, North Coast Repertory Theatre, the Emmy Award Winning Malashock Dance Company and many others. Mr. Lacy has had the honor of working with some of the theatres finest directors including Tony Award Winner Des McAnuff, Tony Award Nominee Michael Greif, Neel Keller, Peter Schneider, Les Waters, Regina Taylor, Susan Booth, Todd Neilson, Cynthia Stokes, John Malashock, Mindy Cooper, Robert Smyth, Deborah Smyth, and Kerry Meads. Mr. Lacy received the 2009 San Francisco Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Musical Direction, 2014 San Diego Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Musical Direction and the 2018 San Diego Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Musical Direction. During his theatrical career, Mr. Lacy has had the honor of working the Tony Winners Kelli O’Hara and Sutton Foster as well as Tony Nominees Ken Page and Beth Malone.

Mr. Lacy is also a successful vocal coach whose clients include Tony, Emmy, Grammy and Golden Globe Award Winning performers. His students have attended such prestigious universities as University of Michigan, NYU, Yale, Harvard, Carnegie Melon, North Carolina School of the Arts, UCSD, UCLA, Emerson, Rider, University of Miami and Sarah Lawrence. Mr. Lacy was a faculty member of the San Diego Opera’s Summer Intensive Program for Singers for three years and served for 8 years as the Vocal Coach for the Tony Award Winning La Jolla Playhouse’s Summer Conservatory Program.

Mr. Lacy is a successful cabaret and recording artist. Mr. Lacy has worked with such talented performers as Film/Television /Broadway Star Emily Bergl, Broadway’s Allie Trimm, Emmy Award Winner Jai Rodriguez, Arianna Savalas, Steven Fales, Angelo D’Agostino, Tyler Kent, Leanne Borghesi and with longtime musical partner, Sandy Campbell. In addition, he performs a number of one man shows. His cabaret work has been seen in NYC (Pangea, Joe’s Pub, The Laurie Beechman, Metropolitan Room, the Algonquin), San Francisco (Society Cabaret, Feinstein’s at the Nikko, The Rrazz Room) Los Angeles (The Gardenia Room, Upright Cabaret, M Bar), Atlanta (Paris on Ponce) San Diego (Society Cabaret, Martinis Above Fourth, Schroeder’s, Palace Bar, Celebration Cabaret), Seattle (Can Can), Chicago (Davenport’s), Shanghai (JW’s, Nessun Dorma) and Beijing (Flow Bar). Mr. Lacy has had the honor of performing with the late Broadway and Film legend John Raitt, Tony Award Winners Christian Hoff, Hal Linden and Michael Cerveris as well as Broadway and Film Star Anthony Rapp. He is the creator and founding partner of SOCIETY CABARET in San Francisco.

Mr. Lacy sang with the acclaimed Worship and Praise group, FOUR IN FAITH for 15 years and recorded three albums with that group. Mr. Lacy has spent much of his career raising money for such charities as Outreach International, Habitat For Humanity, Many Hands, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and many local charities. He has recorded 7 albums with various artists and in 2004 released his debut CD, A QUIET PLACE and released his second CD, THIS CHRISTMAS in 2010. Mr. Lacy re-released his debut CD A QUIET PLACE on iTunes and CD Baby in the Summer of 2017. Scott is also an ordained minister and serves as the Pastor of the Community of Christ church in San Francisco. He lives with his husband of 29 years, writer/actor/model Christopher M. Nelson.
